The SFP+ Active Optical Cable Assemblies are constructed with a 3.0mm 2-fiber round unitary cable available in PVC rated jacket materials. These cords are available in OM3 multimode fiber type with high performance insertion loss essential for today’s high-speed systems requiring very low connector insertion loss. These active SFP+ fiber cable assemblies contain low power circuitry in the connector to boost the signal and are driven from the port without additional power requirements. They provide a low-cost alternative to pluggable optical transceivers and are generally used for end of row or middle of row data center architectures.
